KuanguKuangu was our favourite lodge of the honeymoon in Namibia. We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived from Windhoek. Willem was superb, so very knowledgeable and kind. We had a braai pack on our first night, at the cabin. The food was absolutely fantastic. It was very special. A dinner for 2, alone in the Namib desert.
Next morning we went to Sossusvlei dunes with Willem (he was very helpful and knowledgeable; cold drinks on arrival were a very nice touch). The early light on the dunes was very beautiful. There were only 4 of us in total so we could enjoy walking on the Sossusvlei dunes at our own pace. The climb up dune 45 was definitely worth it – and not too hot early in the morning.
Then we went to Dead Vlei where we chose to spend quite a bit of time – such a strange place. The trip finished with a real banquet of a brunch under the trees - which was delicious!
We chose to drive ourselves to Sesriem canyon rather than take the guided trip which was quite practicable and definitely worth doing.
The next day we went to Naukluft park for a day walk. We enjoyed very much. Then a nice dinner back “home”.
KuanguyKuangu was a wonderful experience with such personal service and lots of fun. Attention to detail was amazing and the whole experience was really outstanding. Another five star rating for KuanguKuangu.
This is truly a special place and we would love to return again one day if we come back to Namibia

« A wonderful, peaceful desert experience that will be forever Africa. The people at KuanguKuangu have such a friendly welcoming manner we immediately felt at home. We have loved the farm drives, the walks in the nearby mountains, the sundowners to sunsets. A love affair started with Namibia. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends. With great appreciation. » Kathy and Albert
« Dear Willem and Hannetjie! Unfortunately we have to say good-bye today. You can’t put the beauty of this amazing breathtaking place in words, as you can’t describe the wonderful atmosphere here. But it is not only the nature and landscape, which make this place so heavenly unique, it is you, the team, who makes this place so special, so perfect. Your kindness, warmness, the great humour and those wonderful, hearts touching conversations made us feel at home of friends. We can’t say often enough how great and lovely it was to stay here, so let’s just say it’ll always be remembered, never forgotten. All the best to you all… And see you soon in your wonderful namibian lodge. » Friedrich
« After a couple of nights camping at Sesriem and Sossusvlei, I thought I’d seen the best Namibia has to offer. I was wrong! KuanguKuangu is the most amazing place I have seen, and being able to step from this very strange cabin and look at over beautiful scenery is an experience I’ll never forget. The view is fantastic, the food wonderful. I can’t wait to come back with my family. Thank you for giving us such a memorable and extraordinary feeling about Namibia. » Isabel
