Overall, this was undoubtedly the highlight of ourNamibia trip.
We spent 3 nights at Kuangukuangu at the beginning of our trip. The location and landscape is on an epic scale and in retrospect the accommodation was our favourite overall (and that was a very difficult decision based on the quality we enjoyed throughout). Our experience at Kuangukuangu was absolutely amazing! We choose this lodge in Namibia because the setting seemed to be breathtaking ; and it is ! What a place to start our African Adventure. The colours and the landscape will be forever etched on our minds. The vastness, variety and colours of the landscape are beyond desccription and every sense and emotion is bombarded. The cabin  was amazing with views that defied belief and it was almost impossible to absorb the level of luxury and comfort that surrounded us. All travel weariness had disappeared!

You have the possibility of booking your own braai pack, which gave us a lot of flexibility and peace of mind. You can also have the feeling of a bed and breakfast if you choose to have breakfast or dinner at the farmhouse, 5 minutes from the cabin. This is the best way to combine lodge and bed and breakfast in Namibia.

Only one cabin, masses of space. Highly recommended.

Management, service, food : excellent.

Don’t ask where to stay in Namibia!

Marvellously quiet and relaxing. The building blends into the landscape and the individual cabin is built into the dune and is carefully positioned both for total privacy and for the lovely view. The room is actually even nicer than it looks on the website. We only stayed one night unfortunately and wished it was longer. Hannetje and Willem have the gift of being genuinely and truly welcoming – it doesn’t feel like a guest house, more like visiting interesting new friends. Delicious food served by Hennetje, and Willem ensured a generous supply of wine. Also enjoyed seeing the resident pair of meerkats who came in for their breakfast saucer of milk and egg. A very special accommodation in Namibia, between lodge and bed & breakfast in Namibia. We will definitely come back!

Mais quelle étape!

Le lieu est tellement magnifique, la maison est tellement bien intégrée dans l’environnement, et l’accueil de Willem et Hannetjie tellement chaleureux, qu’il fallait nous pincer pour ne pas imaginer être dans un rêve. Notre bonheur a été bien réel: le ciel étoilé, la voie lactée, les couleurs, leus odeurs, les animaux, le « bruit » du silence.

Nous allons reprendre la route, découvrir de nouvelles étapes, mais nous n’oublierons pas cet endroit merveilleux où nous reviendrons si nous avons la chance de refaire un voyage en Namibie.

Nous sommes encore au lit et c’est bien un rêve que nous sommes en train de vivre ici, c’est complètement incroyable et il n’y a pas assez de mots forts pour décrire la sensation que l’ai face à un tel spectacle; pour comprendre ce que je ressens, il faut l’avoir vécu. Sur le site internet ça a l’air beau, mais dans la réalité c’est complètement sublime!!! Tout est bien pensé! Bravo!!!

Les premiers rayons se posent sur les montagnes avoisinantes. Le rêve continue jusqu’à la dernière seconde… En partance pour Sossusvlei lodge maintenant.

What a place to start our African Adventure. The colours and the landscape will be forever etched on our minds. The vastness, variety and colours of the landscape are beyond desccription and every sense and emotion is bombarded. the architecture of the cabin was amazing with views that defied belief and it was almost impossible to absorb the level of luxury and comfort that surrounded us. All travel weariness had disappeared!Our hosts, Willem and Hannetjie, were both passionate and knowledgable and was a pleasure to spend time with.

Braai packs around the fire were excellent. Breakfast and lunch on our private terrace was superb.

We would definitely recommend staying longer…  2 nights was definitely not enough. The room is an individual widely-spaced ‘cabins’. Big windows all around, that you can open – it was magic to feel the breeze while lying in bed and waking to a view of the sun rising over the desert. Highly recommended.

Warm and professional welcome. Excellent food. A really excellent lodge in Namibia.
